Official Opposition releases details of its budget submission to government

Charlottetown, PE – As part of its commitment to transparency and responsible governance, the Official Opposition is providing to the public details of their budget submission made to the Government of Prince Edward Island.

“Islanders deserve to know how their legislators are working on their behalf. As the Official Opposition, our duty is to seek to improve government policy while opposing decisions that do not represent the best interests of Islanders,” said Honourable Peter Bevan-Baker, Leader of the Official Opposition, “Islanders have our ear and we have represented and amplified what we have heard in our budget submission to government.”

“We appreciate the opportunity to present these items to government on behalf of Islanders. In our submission we highlighted areas requiring investment as well as specific asks that we costed out,” said Bevan-Baker. “As these highlight key things we have heard Islanders request, we look forward to government meeting these needs.”
