On March 31, 2022, MLA Michele Beaton concluded debate on a motion calling on government to improve paramedic pay and improve emergency paramedicine services for Islanders.

When called to vote, every Liberal and PC party MLA voted against the motion, denying paramedics an increase in wages and denying Islanders public emergency paramedicine care.
