On March 22, 2022, Trish Altass, MLA for Tyne Valley-Sherbrooke gave a member statement recognizing the work of Island reporters Chelsea Perry and Cody McEachern (see: P.E.I. restaurant workers face a toxic culture, illegal workplace practices) to bring experiences of harassment, bullying, wage theft, and abuse within Island workplaces to light. She called on government to put the needs, safety, and wellbeing of Island workers at the forefront of policy and planning.
